I remember back a few years ago when I wouldn’t be caught dead reading a book (sure I read Harry Potter, but that’s pretty much obligatory now in days). Artemis Fowl changed that.
Main Character: Meet young master Artemis Fowl Jr.,son of criminal mastermind Artemis Fowl I and heir to the Fowl fortune. Oh, and I did I mention he’s also a twelve year old genius?
Plot: Just from reading the sypnosis you know that this book is bound to be interesting, and while it may seem a bit confusing and hard to pull of, trust me when I say that the author knows what he’s doing.
Young Artemis’s father has gone missing after an accident involving the Russin Mafiya. He’s been missing for about two years now and has even been declared dead. But Artemis still hasn’t lost hope, and won’t stop at anything to rescue him. But just how does he expect to gain enough money to search for his father and restore the family fortune? Simple. Kidnapping a fairy. That’s right, and after getting his hands on the Book of the People (a.k.a the fairies’ bible), Artemis learns of the famous fairy ransom gold. He uses this and some other knowledge provided by the book to kidnap none other than Captain Holly Short (our other main character). Why Captain? Well it just so happens that Short is member and first female recon officer of the LEP, the Lower Elements Police (try to imagine the CIA about a hundred years from now. Yeah, it’s that advanced). Obviously they’re not to happy about this, and will do all it takes to get one of their best officers back. It’s super high-tech LEP vs. famous prodigy Artemis Fowl, who will win? Read and find out.
This book is simply spectacular and incredibly well written. The colorful characters, funny dialogue (except for some minor toilet jokes, but again very few and not that gross), and amazingly well written plot make Artemis Fowl a first class young adult fiction that can even pass as a decent adult thriller. Great action, fast read, and no nec

I was very excited to use this dog collar when I ordered it, based on all the positive feedback I read. But less than 2 weeks after receiving and using the collar, it has cracked in several places and is virtually useless.

I am enjoying reading from my Kindle very much. I, also, have been navigating around and discovering all that the Kindle can do.

This card is a really really good deal. I went to the supermarket and they were trying to sell 2GB cards for $15. I bought this 8GB card from Amazon for my underwater digital camera, and was able to use the highest pixel settings. I could save my pics with really good resolution. My camera, which normally would have taken around 200 pictures was able to take over 600+! (I don’t actually know the maximum that my camera can hold because for my entire week long trip, I never once had to change my memory card. I felt bad for my poor friend who had to keep switching out her 2GB cards.
The price Amazon offers for this card (currently approx $25 with free shipping is totally worth it.)

garmin forerunner 305 remains the reference for GPS tracking of your heart rate monitored activities.
no extra sensors makes it suitable for all activites: running, biking, skiing, kayaking, trekking – you name it.
quite bulky, but nothing you cannot get used to – after all it is a tool, not an accessory.
garmin’s connect website is awesome with link directly to google earth and not least the player, which let’s you replay you route on a map, with indication of speed, heart rate and elevation – way cool.

I LOVE my new Hoover Tempo! It’s a great little vacuum. For many years I’ve been using ‘better’ models, but no more. I’ve had problems with them all over the almost 30 years I’ve been a wife and mother, and after buying this model for my son and daughter-in-law a few months ago (and they LOVE their’s) I decided to buy myself one. It has great suction, and is lightweight and easy for me to maneuver and carry around.
My only criticisms are… I wish the electrical cord was about twice as long, and that the hose was made of a bit beefier plastic…but both are very livable as is.
High Yield Toner Cartridge
I have used it 5 times since I got it and I love what I can do with it. I used it for conditioning my Arabian Endurance horse. I can put my rides into the garmin software and compare his heart rate with the elevation and speed. Wonderful tool!

This Hoover SteamVac Carpet Cleaner with Clean Surge, FS914-900 is really good. In my own experience with it: It cleans as well as a professional carpet cleaner or actually better. You do have to go over bad spots afew times, but I’ve had professional carpet cleaners who did not do this or if they did, the spot didn’t come as clean as when I did it with my cleaner. I admit my carpets were really bad since they hadn’t been cleaned in a year and I have a new puppy. With the ground in dirt and puppy pittles I really was pleasantly surprised when I first cleaned the carpet. I also used the Hoover Premium Pet Formula cleaning solution, smells great. I poored it on in really bad spots, let it soak in afew minutes and to be perfectly honest my carpets were so bad that I actually had to clean the carpet twice in order for the water to be fairly clean and get the urine smell out. The carpets looked good with the first round, but I am abit of a perfectionalist who if I still saw alittle stain…I’m going get it! The carpet cleaner’s easy to put together on arrival. I like that it has a separate tank for dirty water and one for the cleaning water/solution. I must say that you do have to change the dirty water frequently. It’s best to use really hot water when cleaning. The machine is made of hard plastic, but study and easy to handle. I would recommend this carpet cleaner as: a reasonablely priced and very good cleaner.

HDMI is HDMI. Whether you pay $29.95 or $1.50 the results are the same. This is a digital interface and not analog. As a result, if it plugs in it works. I have used Monster brand and Chinese knock-offs and there IS NO DIFFERENCE. Get the cheapest you can unless you want to go over 6 feet at, which point, you may want a better shielded cable.
