Men s Rubbertech TM
Critical review:
I’ve went over the book; yes Meyers does a great job in being descriptive and adding so many details.
But I feel that this book is too superficial, there is ABSOLUTELY NO RESOLVE, there’s nothing that seems to repair the relationship of Bella and her parents; it shows that it’s okay to treat your parents like crap.
And the fact that the book doesn’t have any time where Bella is empowered by her own self confidence, the belief of herself; she relies on Jacob or Edward for that sense of “protection”.
There are so many books that need to be read, I just don’t think I’d recommend this to any kids I know.
The majority that liked this book were giddy high school girls whose fantasies are coming into fruition with this novel. Twilight is a high school girl’s dream come true.
But the truth is; I wouldn’t allow a person like Edward near my children in the sense that they wouldn’t know how to appropriate their actions around people….it’s very creepy.
The Works of Washington
As there are quite a few other outstanding detailed reviews for the Garmin 305, I’ll refrain from going into too much detail-but I do have to state that this tool is fantastic for training.
I was initially turned off by the bulk and size of the 305 but resigned myself to it when I saw how great it was (my training partner purchased hers before I bought mine). My main reason for going with the Garmin over a Polar was the GPS feature; I thought to myself it’d be a great addition to have, but not something that would set it exceptionally far apart from other HRMs…boy was I wrong. The greatest asset of this HRM to me is that you can upload whatever course you’re about to run/hike/cycle and if you get off-course it’ll beep at you and get you right back on track. This is HUGE for me as I tend to go out in the boonies of CO for long distance training rides and, since I’m directionally challenged, get lost every.single.time.
Also, the bulk and size I was so worried about initially? Not even noticeable when I’m wearing it; at least until I try to get a long-sleeve over it, or take it off and see the giant tan line…both which are easily fixed.
The battery life is great as well-I was able to take it out on a half marathon, two 50 mile training rides and miscellaneous other runs and rides before it finally petered out on me. I like knowing that I don’t have to conserve battery life or charge this device every time I plan on using it.
My friends like to joke that the Garmin makes me look like point Dexter, but once they get a gander at what it can do, the next comment out of their mouths is to ask where I got it.
It pretty much does everything but run for me-which I’m sure it’ll be able to do in about 2 generations or so.
NEW! Pk 12 Bandit
This is a great pedometer. In the first couple days, I tried to see how accurately it tracked my steps – I am completely pleased. I don’t believe that it really over or underestimates how many steps I take. I love that it can calibrate for me to include distance travelled and if I’ve had any moments of aerobic walking and how long those were. I really like the 7 day history as well so that I can go back and put in my steps for days that I forget to log. Excellent device! I really hope it holds up!
Renew My Heart Daily
All in all, I’ve seen my share of fitness gadgets and tools come and go and I’ve come to appreciate a few as my very favorites and the forerunner 305 definitely in my top three. Now is the Forerunner 305 a completely necessary tool, no, not at all, if you really wanted to you could just googlemap out your run and figure out your pace with a watch, and you could definitely get a much cheaper heart rate monitor for that purpose. That being said, the Forerunner 305 is a fantastic tool and does everything that it can do nearly perfectly.
Having this tool to track and keep a history of my runs has really inspired me to run much more often. And looking at the watch while running definitely inspires me to run faster to keep pace or go faster than my last run. So from those perspectives the Forerunner 305 actually does get you into better shape.
For tracking runs the Forerunner 305 can’t be beat, it’s incredibly accurate in it’s gps positioning and keeps detailed history of your runs (or bikes for that matter). I used to use the Nike + run system and this watch keeps much more accurate records on distance. The only small issue that I’ve run into with the watch with respect to its gps function is that the watch can sometimes take a bit longer to locate satellites when it’s turned on if it’s overcast outside. It also gives a great deal of display options and can show you pretty much exactly what you want to focus on in whichever display position you desire.
The workouts option provide good options to train with including the expected distances, 5k, 10k, marathon and anything custom inbetween.
The heart rate monitor is quite accurate and the watch even enables you to set alerts to go off if your heart rate is too low or too high. The only other issue that I have with the watch is that the calorie counts aren’t necessarily the most accurate. The calorie counts are calculated based on weight and distance traveled. This is a basic method to calculate calories burn
The War on Democracy
If you like musicals and Julie Andrews, this DVD is tops. As in the VHS version, the DVD is even better in video and audio quality. Like the other reviews, the breath taking scenery, songs, story, and Julie are tops! But after all, any of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s works are great musicals.
What’s nice about the R&H annivesary sets are the extra video clips of the stars and other takes. This DVD is no exception as they included a great clip on Julie and Christopher Plummer and the town itself.
Bottom line is if you like Rodgers and Hammerstein and Julie
Andrews, you’ll like this DVD!
Sound of Music Rmst
First off, let me start by saying I do 100% believe these are actual conversations with God. I don’t think he made it up to try to persuade people of anything, I do believe these are the words of God. I can’t wait to read the second one. It’s interesting for someone like me to rad q book like this becuase it gave me more of an idea what/who God is really about. I’m understanding a lot more how s/he works and operates and this along with others ( books and personal experiences) had made me 100% a believer again.
SUMMIT
Everything is excellent on the ipod, the only thing that could be better is if the battery life was a little longer, but it is easy to recharge, so no big deal.
