I had gone through 3 of the old style Macbook power adapters that have the cord coming straight out of the plug. The shielding on the cord always separated from the plug with use and eventually shorted. I wasn’t about to spend another $80 on a power adapter, so I started looking at other options. I specifically wanted an adapter that had the L-shaped plug, since the cord is better protected near the plug.
I ordered this one on a Wednesday and it arrived Friday, despite the 1 week estimate on shipping time. It works just as well as the OEM power adapters. It charges the Macbook while the Macbook is being used.
I’m very happy with this adapter and while I hope that I don’t need to buy yet another adapter, if I do Id buy another one of these. Either way, I’ll never buy another Apple power adapter.
