we have a large longhaired grey cat. i brush him almost every day and he purrs all the time i use the furminator. he used to run when i tried to brush him with other tools and i had to cut little mats off him at times. i get such a lot of fur off him each time but he has no mats and his coat looks so healthy i recommend it to all my friends for their dogs, as if smokey is so well groomed and happy, dogs will enjoy grooming too.
