I always wanted an easy-on-the-eye ebook reader and after Googling a lot, decided to purchase the Amazon Kindle (2nd generation, International edition). I stay in India, do not have access to 3G wireless networks and did not want to buy books/newspapers online anyway. From the very beginning, my idea was to read the good old classic novels (available freely from Project Gutenberg) on the kindle. On my kindle, I can easily read for 2-4 hours without straining my eyes, just like reading a paperback novel. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product.

A suggestion for the kindle design team: The “Page Down” and “Page up” keys are clunky and require some effort to press every time one has to flip a page. It would have been better if they were easier to press, like the keys on the kindle’s keyboard — page turning would be much easier and faster!

My son LOVES his new Itouch! He uses it for doing his math, for checking the weather, for chatting with friends, for checking e-mail and Facebook, for listening to music, for reading books, for looking at Google Earth, and for many other things. This has been a great purchase, very versatile and portable, and has been a fun thing for him.
