this is the only harness i have been able to find that fits my dog length wise and around. but i had to make it as small as i could so the fleece doesn’t really touch my dog but the hemp is so much softer than the nylon ones it really hasn’t mattered. my dog went from running away and trying to hide when the harness came out to running toward it and trying to stick his head through. our dog is a basenji mix (border collie?) he’s about 35 pounds. i would have exchanged it for a small but i am afraid it would be too short in the length, which is why the other ones have not worked.

I think that this is an excellent book. I enjoyed how the author developed the characters and kept the story moving at an interesting pace. She manages to capture the everday life of black women and the white women they woked for. The story definitely had an air of realism. The only thing that might be added is that not all black women worked for white women in the 60’s.
