When I read what this book was about, I did not think it would be appealing to me, but 2 of my good friends told me I had to read it, so I did. I have not read a book that pulled me in and made me care about it’s characters as much, in a very long while. I am looking forward to Kathryn Stockett’s next book. This was a very fine first novel. I can see why it is a number 1 best seller, even though I sometimes do not trust best sellers.
